In case you are interested what the doc said:

Right click on AutoCAD Mechanical 2008 shortcut--> select Properties and copy
the below patch under Target if the installation is MDT 2008;  "C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\MDT 2008\acad.exe"  /p <<ACADMPP>>
If the installation is AutoCAD Mechanical 2008 copy this path under Target
"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ACADM 2008\acad.exe"  /p
<<ACADMPP>>
Launch the application and check if all the mechanical modules are loaded.

Else follow these steps.  Note: Backup all your customization files and
registry.
Delete Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2008 or AutoCAD Mechanical 2008 folder from
the below location.

C:\Documents and Settings\user login name\Application Data\Autodesk
C:\Documents and Settings\user login name\Local Settings\Application
Data\Autodesk

Finally delete the below reg key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Autodesk Mechanical\Desktop\12
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R17.1

Windows Start-->Programs-->Autodesk-->AutoCAD Mechanical
2008-->AutoCAD Mechanical 2008.  Check if all the mechanical modules are
loaded.

If yes, delete the existing shortcut from the desktop. Create a new one from
Windows Start-->Programs-->Autodesk-->AutoCAD Mechanical
