Makes me glad I stayed with IE6 because I've heard of stuff like this
happening.

A couple of extra notes. It is informative to know which software generated
the error message. I was assuming it was from XP until you said

error report to Autodesk".
Everyone I know whose XP updates broke something traced it to IE7. One would
wonder how a browser could do that much damage, but Microsoft designed it to
"visit" it's host more like the creature did to the guy in Alien 1
