Forget SCALE. Scale is for printing. what is incorrect in your drawing
is the actual size of the objects.
So what is needed is to correct the size of your objects, not the scale.
the scale can be changed any time you like and the objects will always
remain the same.
THEREFORE:
1. Find a distance on the object that you know (length of a line)what it
SHOULD be.
2. Turn all layers on and select all (Ctrl+A)
3. With all objects selected select Transform>Scale command
4. Highlight Scaling factor value
5. Hold Ctrl and hit Enter key (this puts you in mouse mode)
6. With end point snap (E) select either end of the known distance (1st
Value)
7. Click = (back to keyboard mode) and type in the correct distance and
press OK (2nd Value)
8. The scaling factor will now have a new value.
9. with SnapOff (S)select a base point and your objects will be
resized. Escape and all should be OK. Check your known distance to see
if it is correct.
10. If this doesn't work, open the drinks cabinet and have a
"scotch"
