| Doesn't launch after install - Only Script Editor and Output Shows |

After installing Maya 8.5 PLE and attempting to launch it, I get only the Output
and Script Editor windows to appear. The main Maya UI never appears. (maya.exe
is listed as process in task manager) Theres no error messages. Last lines in
Script Editor are the following:
// parsing C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya 8.5 Personal Learning
Edition/mentalray/include/surfaceSampler.mi
// loading C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya 8.5 Personal Learning
Edition/mentalray/lib/surfaceSampler.dll
// generating Maya nodes...
updateRendererUI;
