| Issues With Texture Placement |

Hey! I am having issues accurately situating textures imported into maya from
photoshop onto modled NURBS. Using the "interactive placement" tool I
can manipulate the texture's position on the model, however I hit a barrier
(literally): there is a horizontal place-holder on the model that sets the
boundaries for the texture's placement, as if it was the midpoint of the model
(if I move anything over it, it warps the texture horribly and sometimes inverts
the entire model so it is tran
sparent). Hopefully someone with way more experience than me can help.
Attatched is an example of my problem, you can see a definitive boundary where
the texture ends, maybe I can manipulate that boundary to the underside of my
model somehow?
