Lighting Symbol within the 3D Scene

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the appearance of the target
spotlight and free light symbol from the earlier versions of VIZ? It seems that
all my light sources have a flat circular pattern with an "x" in the
middle......sort of like a rail road crossing sign. I remember when the light
source was a small cone. Is this still the default symbol? Did I somehow change
this? If so, what is the difference between the flat symbol and the

You have to "show cone" or whatever it is in the light's properties.

Interestingly, in Viz 4, the cone shows no matter what when selected, and
the show cone check box only effects the look when the object isn't
selected.

Show cone is selected, but that is not what I'm talking about. The light source
is showing flat instead of a cone. I have attached an image of the light. All of
my standard light sources have this shape now.
