Can I leave the Bluetooth library open in order to register for
management notification events even if I use the virtual serial
driver? I recall reading somewhere the Bluetooth library had to
be closed before calling Srm* APIs, but if that's true, It's a pain to keep
trying a send just to detect a connection drop.

Hi,
I'm confused! Which are you using, the Srm... calls or the Bluetooth
library directly? Your first post said that you were using the Srm...
calls, which is what I answered.
