TMediaPlayer unable to play MP3 in dtAutoSelect

TMediaPlayer unable to play MP3 in dtAutoSelect

I'm using TMediaPlayer and everything is working OK except when I test
it on one XP computer. The error is that the player cannot recognize
the file extension. AutoSelect is True.

The computer has Nero, WMPlayer, WinAmp, and who knows what else that
will play MP3 files. So, I shouldn't think it would be a problem with
codecs or MCI.

What am I missing?

Thanks for your time,
- Lane

Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MCI Extensions
in Regedit. Add a string called mp3 and set it to MPEGVideo.
