I understand the nuances of the product separation but that doesn't help my
point. I use Civil 3D. I use SSM to publish only Civil 3D plan sets.
Everything is Civil. Everything is 3D. I swear it! I've not plotted a single
thing unless it had a pipe, structure, profile, point, or surface in it! ;-)
Maybe the programmers should start changing the palettes to indicate AutoCAD
Sheet Set Manger and Civil 3D Toolspace. I suppose I should let this one rest
before I start sounding belligerent.

It's a marketing nightmare. I as a customer should be free to post a comment
about ANY of the functionality of the Civil 3D package, and the community should
embrace the input.

I understand I am free to post as I wish, but I'll be ignored. This simply
highlights this schizophrenic product separation mentality. In my company we
can't even let a Civil 3D drawing touch an LDT/LDD drawing or and Architectural
drawing due to the possible file corruptions that this interaction would cause.
What is the purpose of calling it DWG and certifying it as a TrustedDWG if I
can't open the file with any Autodesk product? I don't think DWG 2007 did what
it needed to do.

These are the symptoms, but the sickness runs deep. I'm hoping it gets better,
but I only see more functionality piled on top of the heaving pile of errors.
It's not a comical either. It directly affects my life. I have to use this
stuff to make a living. Being told that it's not really Civil 3D but AutoCAD
does not solve anything. It's just finger pointing. Civil 3D is everything
that is packaged and sold as Civil 3D. Period. Let's get
