Missing the old roller

Missing the old roller

After upgrading to CS2.1, followed the instructions for creating a mirror blog
that displays the newsfeeds that previously appeared in the roller. Don't know
if it's possible for the old and new approach to sit side by side, but there are
some features of the old roller that I miss.

Displaying a list of feeds: The old roller page automatically listed the feeds.
Under the new approach, had to create a list and re-enter all the feed sources
in order for them to display neatly. An automated process appears to have been
made manual. And with that the risk of introducing error.

Grouping of feeds: The old roller page grouped feeds by categories set in the
Control Panel. This basic but effective categorization scheme enabled readers to
select the set of feeds they preferred and leave the rest.

No tag control: Unless I missed it, there does not appear to be a way to tag or
categorize newsfeeds. A few of mine come with their own tags and distort the
sense of what's there. This is a serious omission.

While the new approach allows for better integration with the rest of the site,
from a news scanners' point of view, the old presentation format is much more
effective and productive.

Please don't fix 'My Reader'. At least privately I can still see it the way I
prefer.

Is there a way for the two to co-exist?
