I have been following Jeff Harrison's tutorial of fitting a blend and a
question came up:
Supposedly you can set the distance between intermediate objects in a
blend rather than just the number of steps...but that option does not
appear to be available.

HI DW,
You could initially position the blend's "control objects" to known
points on the page. Then the new objects will spread out evenly between.
Another idea: if you want a specific distance between multiple
non-blended objects, this does it:

Thank you Jeff, i hadn't thought of that approach, and I will check out
the link.
But since you sent me another link in the recent discussion entitled
"divider tool," you know that I am trying to space objects a specified
distance apart on a line of indeterminate length...ie., a spiral. So,
back to my original question--why can't I set the distance between the
intermediate objects? Why is that "button" grayed out?

Hi DW,
see screenshot, blend along full path must be disabled.

Jeff,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I posted a similar question on
the Graphics Unleashed forum earlier today and shortly after posting it
I got to re-reading the help files and it dawned on me that enabling
"blend along full path" was the problem. Once I unchecked that box, I
found I could set the interval.
thanks again for your help...
Looks like your screenshot must be from X3...''cuz it doesn't look like
anything I see in CorelDraw 11. Is the upgrade really worth it?
