Possible to add a "default" Pen Width to the
existing default Pen Width List?

Possible to add a "default" Pen Width to the existing default Pen Width List?
Fri, 1 Feb 2008 11:07:00 -0500
I'm doing a lot of stuff where I have to add an .001" white outline to
objects and text. Is it possible to add .001" to the list of default pen
widths so that I can just select .001" pen width from the drop down list?

Thanks,

G

Or, would there be an even better, i.e. quicker or more efficient, way to
accomplish this?

Thanks,

G

I don't think you can add a width to the pen list, though that would be
nice, but you can use a graphic style and even assign a shortcut key to it.
Go to the window dockers menu and select Graphic & Text styles, then in the

docker, hit the little arrow button and select new graphic style, then right
click it and select properties and make the changes you want. When you have
an object selected that you want to apply that style to, just double-click
it and those attributes will be applied. You can assign a keyboard shortcut
by going to the cutsomization menu, select styles and change the shortcut to
whatever you want.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

I followed the steps and it worked, even the hot key worked, BUT when I
closed the document I was using it on and started a new document, the new
style was not saved in the list and did not work anymore in the new
document. What am I doing wrong? How can I make it permanent?

Thanks,
George
