It sounds like you're sending CMYK colors (default Draw color palette) to an 
RGB printer with no color management. What are your color maanagement 
settings? Do you have color profiles for your printer?

Additionally to what Craig's written, have you calibrated your monitor?

Do you have your radio button in the Cm dialog set to RGB or CMYK? Set it to 
RGB and you might get the correct output if you are printing to a sRGB 
printer.

Hello all

I'm printing to a HP 1280 Deskjet. Bitmaps color are great, but drawn 
objects with color fills are all over the place eg. a Sea Green comes out as 
limey color. Any ideas on how to correct this?

I did a quick search an apparently HP didn't make any profiles for your 
printer. I would try sertting your color management to RGB as Alfred 
suggested and use an RGB color pallete instead of CMYK.
