| Conversion problem? (more info) |

Here's the original .cdr file.
It shows the little white border with the blue background continuing past
it. That's how I want it to look. BUT, when I export it to a jpg or an AI
file it makes that white border the edge,,(like the jpg I attached in the
first post).
Is there some setting I'm missing?
Thanks, Jerry

It would be far easier to follow this topic if you would not have started a
new thread!

Hello
You have the blue colour as a Page Background colour not as an Object so it
isn't picked up in your LPG conversion. It is picked up when converting to
EPS or PDF. If you put a rectangle, at least the size of your blue
background, around the blue background with no fill and no outline colour
then select all and export to JPG that should give you what you want.
Alternative is to make the blue background a rectangle filled with blue
behind your other objects.

Yes, it does the same thing in DrawX3. EPS works okay but bitmaps are cut
off. As George said, it's best to have that background as an object on the
page. Also if you are going to have this commercially printed, you will need
to extend that blue beyond the page border about an eighth of an inch
(bleed) and add crop marks. I would also change the letters outlined in
white to at least .5 point, Behind Fill to avoid distorting the letter forms
and make registration easier. And, just to nit pick, the space between the
white outlined rectangle and the edge of the page isn't the same all the way
around. Using the contour tool on a blue rectangle the size of the page to
create it would be more accurate.
