| Fitting text to plyline |

Hi,
Is there some way to accurately fit a word or phrase into a non regular
closed polyline. I don´t care if the text is deformed, in fact that is the
effect I'm looking for.
Thanks a lot!

"Fit Text To Path" tool would work.

Hello
I suggest you use "envelopes". Easiest way I find, in order to have
good
control over the fit of the deformation, is to draw the polygon you wish to
fill and lock it on the page. Now place your text or other object on and
within the bounds of the polygon. It will be easier to see what you are
doing if your text has no fill and a hairline outline until you are
satisfied with the fit. Select the text then the Interactive Envelope tool.
This will place an envelope with 8 nodes round your text. Add or subtract
straight or curved nodes as required to suit required envelope. Move the
envelope nodes to match up the envelope with the locked polygon to get
required fit, just like drawing a curve to fit on top of another curve.
Unlock and delete the polygon unless you want to use it again for current
drawing.
