Thank you very much for the information, Dave. That pretty well tells me
that any version above 3 will open v3 drawings.
My problem is this: I recently installed Corel Draw 3.0 (with the update
files available at the time) to modify the text and graphics of an old
business card, on my Windows XP with SP2 desktop. That went well, no
problem. I then wanted to also have it as a .GIF file. The procedure is to
export it as a .GIF file, which I tried, but I got the message: Could not
load the rasterizer., and then the next message: Export filter error. I was
able to do it on a machine with Windows 98. (I might also be able to do it
reinstalling Windows 3.1 in a separate partition on my XP machine.) I do not
want to pay for the latest version of Draw just for a business card, so I
thought of getting an older version that would do this, especially if it
could also export as a .jpg file (not available in v3), but I now realize
that it would have to be able to use the Windows XP rasterizer.
So my question is now: what is the oldest version of Draw that can export a
drawing as a .gif and/or a .jpg file on a machine with Windows XP (i.e., I
think, what is the oldest version made to run with Windows XP)?
Thank you in advance for any information.
