| Text being two different sizes at once |

Today when I type text it now shows it being one size in "object size"
box
and another size in the "text size" box.
attachment:
Rectangle is .5" height.
"CASO" shows .491" height in 'object size' box, and .662"
height in 'text
size' box . Text fits inside rectangle yet text is larger than rectangle
.... or maybe not depending on which box you want to read.
Has anybody seen this before?
