| TD12 after CDX3 SP2 update. |

Hello folks,
After applying the SP2 update on Corel Draw X3 the following problem did
arise (rported in the CDX3 Nwesgroup too):
At my machine trying to open TD 12 it "restarted" an install procedure
asking for the CD1 install disk, which I don't have as mine is a
download version. Talking with Corel Support they suggested finding the
msi-file in the unzipped download. This, however, was not accepted by
the install procedure. I had to download a complete new (trial) version
and uninstall reinstall TD12. Then trying to install the SP1 of TD12 was
refused. The sp1 is not acceptable anymore ! The TD version I
reinstalled is 12.5.0.494 - Does anybody know this is the latest and
newer than the TD12-SP1 that is on Corel's site?
By the way, I tried to reload the application and local data for TD12
first to cure the install problem. That too did not help - apparently X3
SP2 corrupts the windows XP register and/or some other settings making
already installed CD products unrecognizable!
(The WordPerfect products are not affected, that is they still work,
bless Corel)
Kind regards, JoostJ

FWIW: Under Win2K, I applied CGSX3 SP2,and I can still use Designer.
(I still cannot access the patch for Designer; but that's another matter.)

Hello folks,
My original "SP1" version was also 479.
The TD12 I have downloaded two days ago shows version 494, so clearly
beyond de SP1 version. It does not accept the SP1 patch. Apparently it
is newer, a kind of SP2 version. Perhaps someone of the Corel people can
enlighten us on this???
BTW. it is running very nicely !!!
Kind regards, JoostJ

I just called up Designer through one of the "new"
Installer-created Shortcuts and had to wait while Windows
configured Designer 12; it needed the CD.
Yes: my earlier tries used an "old, proper" Shortcut.

Joost,
My SP1 version of designer is 12.5.0.479.
I was fortunate enough to have a CD for my Designer.
I just popped the disc in and all was fine after about a minute.
Hasn't asked for it again.
Interseting that your build is 494!
cheers
