| Omitted from Documentation about SP1 and SP2 |

I can find no documentation on what the Designer 12 version number should
read after applying SP1 and SP2. My version number now reads: 12.5.0.549.
The update checking software ran and downloaded (and installed?) a couple of
service packs, a couple of weeks ago, but it left a folder on my Windows
Desktop called "Downloaded Program Updates."
So did the update software fail to delete this folder, or do I need to
execute these downloaded Windows Installer Patch files. They are titled
"CDTS12_SP1" and "CDTS12_SP2." I can imagine I must install
SP1 before SP2,
but I don't know if these are already installed or not.
Has running these created problems with anyone's installation yet?
Thank you.

Chip,
12.5.0.549 is the build number with both SP1 and SP2 installed.
Can't remember what the earlier build numbers were. But you are right,
they *should* have this information on the website.
cheers

I didn'g even know that a second service pack was out. I looked at the
documentation and it says very little about what it does except make it
compatible with Windows Vista, but it also says it is compatible with XP.
Nothing on bugs.
I am on win XP and it works reasonably well, some stability issues. Should I
install SP2, or let it be?

G'day Lars,
I too am on XP. I installed SP2, but I can't say I've noticed any
difference
in stability (or anything else for that matter)! I might add that it's
fairly stable
most of the time.
cheers

OK I think I'll go for it. I lose some files now and then so improved
stability would be a plus. Hopefully it can't get worse...
