No, I don't knownad I doubt anyone who knows will tell here.
I hopae Draw and Designer will merge. They are after all almost the same and
Draw has pulled many features from Designer.

Yes, that's a viable option. And I think it would be a better solution than
the current one, because today there are some inconsistencies between Draw
and Designer, even though they are very much the same. Some tools do not
work the same way, like for example the line tool. If there was two editions
of Draw, I suppose you could count on all tools working the same, because
the technical version would be just an add-on to the basic version. And you
would not be missing some of the basic stuff in the technical (premium)
version. Like today we don't have the the distortion tool in Designer, even
if the functionality is there ( if you open a .cdr object with distortion
applied, in Designer). Other missing stuff is the Graph paper tool, which to
me seem perfectly natural to include in Designer. Also the Shaping tools are
more buggy and harder to use in Designer. The list goes on.

Yes, they should merge or better still take the approach of Acrobat and have
a
Standard and Premium edition of Draw. Released simultaneously, identical
code base but with extra tools and libraries for technical work.
Meanwhile, I feel strongly that a Designer licence should entitle me to run
Draw
on my same computer. Because many customers open my Designer files in Draw
and
I would like to check they display OK before emailing them.

I strongly agree that combining CorelDraw and Designer and offering a
standard and premium version would be a good solution for Corel. As many
have mentioned, the two programs are very much alike, so merging the two
makes sense. There would be much to gain from the merge, among them
increased compatibility with other programs as well as the pooling Corel's
development resources so the standard version can offer more of what basic
illustrators need, and the premium version what high precision illustrators
need. The main objective should be to keep moving forward, and this solution
would give users a more reliable and streamlined product to work with while
Corel's team of developers drive improvement in the areas of the program
most needed by their customers.
