Program Crash

I am using Designer 10 with Vista. It has been working fine until the other 
day when it hangs up when starting. I tried to uninstall it through the 
add/remove programs, but that hangs as well. I tried to download the trial 
version of 12 suite through the web site and after about 15 minutes of 
download time it tells me that it did not pass the integrity test. Can 
anyone give help regarding any of these issues. I would like to be able to 
remove version 10 and move up to 12.
