You posted an image in BMP format. This has a dual disadvantage.
First, newsreaders other than Microsoft's may not render the
image. (Mine for instance shows a broken image icon.) Second,
the BMP format doesn't do any useful compression, with the
result that your image is both tiny on screen and has an
enormous file size - around 300 KB - whereas the generally
accepted size for posting around here is 100 to 150 KB. You
can solve this problem by (1) not sizing your image so small
in terms of its dimensions in pixel units, and (2) using a
format like JPEG, which compresses very efficiently and renders
in every viewer. JPEG compression is lossy (i.e. some image
information is thrown away when you save the file) and this
is how you get the very small file size. Consequently, it is
best to save your image using File > Export > JPEG Optimizer
where you can preview the image size and the image quality for
the compression level you have chosen. A file size of 900
pixels on the long side and a compression level of 15 to 25
should normally give you an acceptable quality image with a
file size not exceeding 150 KB. It's better to aim a little
low on the file size since the size of binary attachments to
newsgroup posts expands significantly because of the way
attachments are encoded for transmission. Apart from these
technical issues you've created a very nice image.
