Tadjio, thank you very much :-)
The crown won and Ken knows as you've probably seen by now. I was
kidding about the flowers and I dedicated the flower to you in the
message rather than the photo itself ;-)
Everyone is into photographing things that interest them and I enjoy
your photos too, even if I don't comment or take the same type of
photos, but as far as birds go, it's possible to do it with your
camera - after all, I used my point & shoot before I got the 40D. It's
just a matter of getting close and you need to be sneaky to do that ;-)
I'm glad you liked the sunset and yes, I did try different WB's when I
was converting from RAW but ended up using the one that came out of the
camera - the 40D's auto WB setting normally does an excellent job. More
importantly, I wanted to get the colors exactly as they were so I
compared the photo in the camera to the sky right after I took it and
the colors were just as I saw them so I didn't change the white balance
setting.
Thanks for the good luck wishes on choosing a topic. It's getting
harder to pick one as time goes on but I'll come up with something :-))

There are many different posts I wanted to reply to today
so I decided to consolidate them into one.
Did I say congrats on your winning the challenge?
Did I mention - for the third time?
And which image really did win?
Perhaps we should have a choice by popular acclaim
if not a democratic caucus?
Poor KenH leaving on his holiday before
you announce the next challenge.
Perhaps you should put him out of his misery
and email him?
As to FLOWERS.
Of course I love flowers, as you know from all
the images I have posted :-))))
I'll have to eat my words from last year
or try and flood the market first....
Thank you for your beautiful one today
but you didn't dedicate it to me on the image ;-)
As to Birds - you know I don't compete
as I haven't got the kit or the eyesight :-(
but I always admire others
even if I don't comment....
Now Sunsets, yours is beautiful,
almost as lovely as some of mine ;-)
Have you tried different WBs?
And my buildings of historical interest?
I'm just trying to get the right
perspective on things :-))))))))
Good luck with choosing your theme
- I'm looking forward to it as always.
