| Dropper selection won't stick |

I am an only occasional user of my PSP8, and a new thing is
happening to me.
I use the Dropper Tool to select a color in
my image, and then when I click the Paintbrush tool, the
foreground color which I had selected changes immediately
to some other unwanted color.
I am wanting to use my Dropper color to remove blems
in the image.
Any help appreciated.

Either all tools can use the same material setting or each can have its own
, In your case its the later . Either check the all tools box in the
materials pallet or the more obvious, chose the tool first then pick the
colour
