Can't find a Corel newsgroup for Animation Shop.
If there is one, where can I find it?
If there isn't one, and I've searched high and low, where can I find
a tutorial for making a square block rotate?
thank you,
gwen

There isn't one. I don't think Corel has done anything with
Animation Shop or has any plans for improving it in future.

Can you explain "square block" please? Do you mean a
two-dimensional square in the plane of the image or do you
mean a three-dimensional cube rendered into a two-dimensional
image? That affects the specifics of the advice. In the
latter case you have to think about the direction of lighting
and about casting shadows, and the cube faces will need to
have non-identical lightness.
The general advice is simple. The whole business except for
the actual animation is done in PSP. Let's for simplicty say
you want to rotate a flat square. Create a background layer
and above it place a square on a transparent layer. Duplicate
the square layer as many times as frame you want. For each
of the squares in turn rotate by the correct angular step.
For example, rotate the first duplicate 15 degrees, the second
duplicate 30 degrees, the third 45 degrees, the fourth 60
degrees and so on until you have the total rotation you want
on the last duplicate. Save the layers in a PspImage format,
using the PSP 7 version of the format (see Options in the
File > Save As dialog) changing the extension to .psp. Now
open the .psp file in Animation Shop and use the Optimization
Wizard to save your animation.

There isn't one, I'm afraid. However, I would suggest that the Graphics
group would be the place to post questions, etc., about using Animation
Shop.

Thank you Spandex and JoeB.
I should have used then the word 'spin' instead of 'rotate'. Even so,
Spandex, your answer was much appreciated.
I posted my query in the Graphics group, JoeB and thanks,
