I have PSP 8.10 and Windows 2000 SP4.
PSP won't open certain files created with Photoshop. Here's a little bit of
hte header of the file I need to open:
%!PS-Adobe-3.1 EPSF-3.0
%%Title: Letterhead1.ai
%%Creator: Adobe Illustrator(R) 11
%%AI8_CreatorVersion: 11.0.0
Will PSP 9 open this? Will PSP 9 run on WIndows 2000? I can't get PSP X2
because that requires XP or later.
Thanks

Yes, but not as a vector image. EPS can contain both vector and raster
graphics, but is basically a vector format. PSP will convert it to a raster
bitmap when you open it.
To get the best out of an EPS file, and to edit it and retain the benefits
of a vector image, you would need to use a vector graphics editor such as
Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.

Yes. Versions up to PSPP XI will run on Windows 2000. (I've heard that X2
works too, but it's not officially supported. It may be just a rumour as
well, or it may not run perfectly... I haven't tried it).
It might take a little work to track down a legal copy of an older version
of PSP, but they do exist.
