|| Folks,
||
|| After reading some tutorials, and trying Spandex's great script, I
|| thought I'd have a little play with the LOMO effect myself.
||
|| It's actually quite a difficult one to nail down, as depending what
|| images you look at or descriptions you read, the effect people are
|| looking for can be quite different. The main criteria appear to be
|| raised saturation and contrast with vignetting evident. There also
|| appears to be a colour shift which imparts a slightly 'metallic' hue,
|| and I'm not sure how far to go towards saturating the original
|| palette or the amended palette.
||
|| Anyway, I'd be interested in your comments and any way you feel it
|| deviates from the LOMO look.
||
| Howard, I liked it, I was in the middle of looking at a manual
| approach on both PSP and Gimp, so I just used your script...see
| attached sheet....
|
| You may not be able to tell from the small prints but yours looked
| good....true to my use of scripts, I tagged on Smart Curve Auto to
| your script.....this finished it to my likes...
|
| I would probably change it to keep the original as the bottom level,
| allowing a comparison or possible blending as the final sterp...
|
| Good work
I think the boy has the best tones in the Lomo Gimp Script. The Lomo with
Curves has the highlights on his face appear to be excessively white.
