You don't need a script. When you click a swatch in the Materials palette
the Materials Properties dialogue opens. Click on the Gradients tab. You
can then select a gradient to edit, or create your own. If editing an
existing one, make sure you save it as a different name from the original
so you don't overwrite the original. It's a good idea to use Windows
Explorer to set all of your existing gradients to Read Only to avoid the
issue of accidentally overwriting an existing one.

Is there a script that creates gradients or is this one of those processes
that PSP does not allow?

JoeB,
Thank you for the information. I am familiar with this process (editing
scripts to create new ones) and use it on a regular basis, but I would still
like to know if it is possible to script this to automate the process so to
speak.
I have a list of colors collected that I would like to use
as gradients, a very long list so to speak and a script would make it
possible for me to create these gradients quickly.
I could even use the colors that I used to create my color swatches to
create my gradients or even somehow combine the process to get a gradient
and a color swatch of each script. This would give me gradient and the
preview so that I can refer to it later if needed.

Unfortunately, this process - the creation of a gradient - is a
non-scriptable process. Suz

A gradient isn't a script; it's a special kind of .PspImage file.
With that said, there is nothing to stop a skilled person using
Python from writing a binary file conforming to the specifications
of this type of file. These can be (or could be) retrieved from
Corel web site. The format specification I downloaded is a 2.1 MB
file so I can't post it here. However, Geena's objective is not
very clearly defined so it would be hard to create a meaningful
