That is correct. Fred would have mentioned it if you had mentioned your
version. It was introduced in v.9.

I'm quite sure that within the past several days I read an article --
although the article itself may have been as old as last October --
that was one of the first replies to someones request on some topic.
The reply pointed out that if one wanted to save merely the most recent thing
-- say, Adjust Brightness and Contrast -> Automatic Contrast Enhancement
w/ (Neutral, Normal, Bold) --
it is possible to do this by just doing that activity
and then somehow saving it in only one or two keystrokes
from the Undo/Redo History ... or some such thing.
Basically a simple way to save a simple, single-step thing as a script,
rather than knowing ahead of time that you want to record a multi-step
sequence of operations.
Does this ring a bell?

It is called a Quickscript. You can find how to use it in the Help
unless you own the benighted PSP 10 "help." In that case, look it up
at http://home.roadrunner.com/~suzshook/10tips.htm, tip #114.

This sounds like it might be what I remembered.
However, when I look for quickscript (or quick script) in Help:
* It's not immediately obvious if it's in the Contents.
* The Index shows only "Quick Guides" and "Quick Tour".
* Search for "quickscript" returns "No topics found."
* Search for "quick script" returns "Using Palettes"
and "Working with Dialogs, which seem to include each of
the individual words, but not the phrase.
I searched the web for PSP8 and quickscript, and got about a dozen
hits, about half of which didn't actually include either
"quickscript"
or "quick script" (thanks a bunch, search engine!), and of those
that did, most indicated that this is a feature of PSP9, not PSP8.
One article seemed to suggest that it is included in PSP7,
but it was hard to tell.

People do it all the time (post an issue without saying which of the many
PSP versions they're using) so you're not the first nor will you be the
last :-)
