Rename with new text in middle of name

Rename with new text in middle of name
Sun, 17 Feb 2008 02:06:51 -080
Greetings,

I'm hoping to run a batch process and include a rename rule that adds
text within the file name, e.g.
001.jpg becomes 001-sm.jpg
(adding the -sm between the image number and the extension.

I can see how to add custom text in the batch process rename rules, and
how to include the name of the file, but I can't see how to add this in
the middle.

Anyone know if I can do this?

(One thought I had is if I can figure out how to batch strip the
extension, then I could run another batch and add "-sm.jpg" and have
the
extension back on it, but I'm not sure if/how to remove the extension.)

Ken,

Wow, great product! It even has a "Preview" step so you can make sure

you're putting the text in the right position.

Can be done, Lee. Just choose Document Name first, and then Custom Text.
In the Custom Text box, put the text you want to add, like "-sm" (see

attached). Works like a charm! Suz
