You might go through all the file types listed in File > Preferences

Did this behavior begin when PSP 10 was first installed, or did it
start later? If later, a re-installation might cure it.

I am having an annoying problem with Paint Shop Pro X (v10.10).
When I click on the "File" menu my B drive hunts.
Sub menus from File are ok as are all the other menus.
I've searched the registry for B: but nothing there.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks

Is your B drive a removable drive (floppy, CD, flash card
reader, etc.) and did you previously load a file from there?
What drive and folder does the File > Open dialog open in?
Is it drive B or somewhere else? Also, read this Corel
Knowledgebase article http://snurl.com/22dzv to make sure
you aren't being victimized by the Lexar Active Memory
System.

Actually, unless I mis-remember, the Organizer started with v.XI. PSPX
still uses the old browser (with a few changes) and .jbf files.

Unlike earlier versions of PSP which had a browser, PSP X onwards
has a browsanizer, i.e. an organizer that looks like a browser,
which builds a database of images on your disk. Is it possible
that your B drive is listed in the browsanizer as one of the
drives to scan for images? If you open the browser there should
be provisions for excluding and including folders that should
be scanned for images. You might want to take a peek in there.
It might also be helpful to destroy the database file(s) or to
first mark them Read-Only as an aid to diagnosis. I don't have
PSP X so I can't be specific about where to find these files.
