| New computer - no plugins |
 |
Thu, 27 Mar 2008 06:06:47 -040 |
I have been a faithful user of PSP for years and years and years.
I installed PSP X and configured all my plugins however, while it shows they
are there, none of them work. Bah Humbug!
I do have the update to show 10.10 but since I transferred the program via
USB I'm thinking that's the problem.
Any ideas how to set things right?
THANKS!
Claire

You might want to consider reinstalling PSPX. And, when you do so, make
sure to first download the 3 patches from the Corel site. After
installation, each patch has to be installed, in order, one at a time. If
I recall correctly there was some issue with PSPX when it first came out
where the plugins wouldn't load, and I can't recall what caused it. But I
believe it was eventually fixed with the patches.

Thanks for the reminder. Yes, with PSPX, if the browser wasn't closed
before closing PSPX, then the next time you opened the program the
plugins didn't show up, so you had to close the browser before shutting
down the program. I think that the patches fixed that.

OK, don't laugh, but.........
The addition of Msvert10.dll worked perfectly...... for PSP XI (after I had
to disable something in the data protection or whatever.....)
However, no plug-in work (yet) for PSPX. That's OK, I like to work with X
mostly and if I have to go to XI for Pool Shadow, I can work with that.
Anyway, THANKS! That's a lifesaver......

Thanks for your suggestion, Joe....... I would love to do that but for some
reason I can't find the 'secret code' that came with the disk and
documentation.
It presently works fine (except for the plug-in) and I know that the
installation 'code' has to be on my HD somewhere, I just can't find it.
Fortunately, I have everything for PSP XI.
