The "Program Update" icon is in my control panel on two XP machines.
It's an
Installshield utility that, on one computer, has other non-Corel programs
listed as well. (I've got a vague memory that the Control Panel interface
first showed on my desktop computer up after a CorelDRAW 12 installation,
but this laptop has never had that installed, so it must've come from
somewhere else).
I see from -

_faqid=758383
and
http://support.corel.com/scripts/rightnow.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?&p
_faqid=759472
that it's sometimes not there and suggests a way to install it... not sure
whether you'd want to do that, but it could well fix the problem.
On the screen you posted, what happens if you click on the "Already
Purchased" button that's at the bottom left?
If you're happy with PSP X, then stick with that. If you want to upgrade,
then go with X2. I've never been a big fan of XI, and use X2 for nearly
everything. I use X for cropping sometimes, because cropping in X2 seems to
be a work in progress... rotating the crop rectangle was added, but the
ability to resize the crop rectangle by dragging on any point in the crop
outline was lost. You can now only resize it by dragging on one of the
control points, but when zoomed right in, to acurately crop a panorama for
instance, there is rarely a control point in the frame. There are
workarounds, but it's easier to use PSP X.
