Has anyone read about or tried using psp7, anniversary edition with Vista? 
Just wondering if  it is compatible

Yes.

It runs under Vista but doesn't use the fancy interface while
it's running. You get that interface back when you exit PSP.

That's good to hear because I still love some of the features that came with 
psp7.
Does this mean the Animation shop will work too?

PSP runs on Visa EXCEPT for Help!

There are a couple of things to do to make it work. Download a 
"winhlp32.exe" from Microsoft and install, then changes have to be
made 
to the registry.
