HELLOOOO! Anybody here?

I just bought Corel Painter IX and I'm looking for a discussion group of
artists and illustrators who use it.   This Corel newsgroup seems to have
almost no activity -  a few posts a month.

Can anyone suggest a more ACTIVE discussion forum - preferably web-based,
since this old-fashioned usenet newsgroup interface is giving me flashbacks
to the Reagan administration.

Sure, you got this far, just need to go a little further, cnews.corel.com; 
then, corel.PainterIX.  This newsgroup is for all versions of Painter, while 
the other is specific for Painter IX.  Also there are a lot of forums for 
Painter.  One I'm specifically involved with is indeptharts.org.  A little 
slow right now but it's summer and no one is thinking or working any too 
hard.  Look forward to seeing you there.

Do you mean in terms of technology for computers when you speak about the 
Reagan administration?    Personally I worked for the Republican party as a 
Junior Accountant back then for several years, probably the best job I ever 
had in my life.
