| Painter Essentials 3 and Mac Pro? |

Greetings,
I just bought a Mac Pro and installed Painter Essentials 3 on it. When I
launch the program the splash screen shows for a few seconds and then the
program quits without an error message. This happens every time I launch the
program and after I reinstalled it as well. Any help as to why this happens
or how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Is there an error message in the Console?
The Console is located in the "Utilities" folder of your
"Applications"
folder.

There are no messages pertaining to CPE3 in the Console. I did try to hold
Shift and launch the application which allowed me to select it to be
launched with factory defaults and that allows me to get past the splash
screen but it just crashes again once it gets into the program itself
(immediately after the program itself opens).
Are there or will there be any updates for CPE3? I couldn't find any listed
on the website and, in fact, CPE3 wasn't even listed in the support section
for downloads.
It is a brand new Mac Pro with the factory installed OS and I've made no
changes to the system or software (no OS hacks or anything of that sort) so
I'm really confused on why it isn't working. Thank you for your help so far.
