lace background

Hello everyone!
When I was a traditional airbrush artist I used to love to buy lace, spray
adhesive on it, and airbrush right through it. In regards to painter, I
suppose I would need to scan a piece of lace to do this? Can anyone give me
tips for the best mask technique in painter for this idea? Has anyone done
this before?

Thanks!

Lisa

Lisa,

To add to Bernd's suggestion:

Scan the Lace.

Capture it as a Paper texture.

Paint with brush variants that interact with Paper texture with the
Paper either Inverted or not Inverted (or both, with different colors).

I have some antique lace that belonged to my great grandmother. Maybe
I'll dig it up sometime and try this myself.

I would scan in lace, ideally with a dark background, and make a selection
of it - should work like a stencil.
best,
Bernd
