Color printers

Color printers
Thu, 09 Aug 2007 14:52:18 -040
Hi all -

So I'm thinking about getting a new color printer to print my Painter
stuff. Do any of you have a printer you particularly love, especially
one that does well on glossy paper?

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Hi,

personally, I wouldn't bother...professional printers are so much better at
printing stuff,
unless you really want to print a lot and sell, buying your own printer is
not worth it.
If you print your work only occasionally, you're better off having it
printed by someone else.
That's at least my experience, only got a cheapish 4C laser printer these
days for rough prints and all the good stuff is
printed on canvas by a print shop - and looks way better...
best regards,
Bernd

Bernd -

Thanks for the reply. You may be right. Is there a good printer you'd
like to recommend to me?

Thanks in advance.

(And meanwhile, if anyone else has printer recommendations I'd very much
like to hear them.)

I can in fact, but since I presume that you live either in the States or UK
it's no good for you, probably (dollar exchange rate + shipping costs).
Anyhow, name of the place is cyberlab.at , webiste is all in German of
course, but print quality is excellent and they can work with files with any
embedded profile, which is cool.
I mainly used the " foto gemälde" so far, translates as " photo
paintings ".
greetings,
Bernd
