Every time I try and save as jpg in Painter X I get the blue screen of
death. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi Simon,

This is gonna sound crazy but it's the only thing I can recall hearing
about that might help:

Make sure the folder you're saving to is not too far down in the folder
and file structure. In other words, either move the folder to just below
the root directory, or create a new folder there. Then try saving your
JPG file to that new folder (or moved-up folder).

If that doesn't work, or you just don't want to try it, write directly
to the Corel Painter development team at:

painterteam@corel.com

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Jinny. I found the problem by googling. It's a
conflict with a program called Folder Lock, in particular a file in the
system 32 folder windrvNT.sys. Uninstalled Folder Lock and problem solved!

Hi Simon,

It's good to hear you solved the problem, and....

It's great that you shared the solution with us. It'll probably help others.

Thanks!
