Michael,
You could try the "remove moire" tool in Photopaint
(Effects>Noise>remove
moire), but from experience, you're better off to remove it during scanning.
Most decent scanner software packages have a "descreening" switch with
various options which generally work better than trying to remove the
pattern later - at leat Epson software does!

I forgot to say when I sent the camera pic earlier, that I'm self-taught to
a point. However, no matter how I have tried, I just cannot get rid of the
dots in the image shown.
Tasks tried were, scanning in draft; in Photopaint, applying the blur and
noise features, then sharpening without success.
Any helps and tips would be appreciated.
