I have an 8-color inkjet and am trying to print one of the spot colors
(white) from PP. I just don't seem to get the big picture about
creating a spot color channel and then assigning that color to the
object in the picture. It's real simple. I only have one object, one
color but every time I create the channel it covers the picture with a
mask of some sort. I am using CDR X3. An explanation of how to do this
would be helpful. This is not a duotone so the Corel Tutorial hasn't
helped much.

I believe you can not print spot colors without a post script printer.

You will need a special device to print white.

It prints white, just fine from Corel Draw. The manual for CPT even
addresses the spot color ability of CPT, I just don't deal in bitmaps
much so masks and channels are unfamiliar to me.
The program prints spot. PS printer is not necessary since that is
handled by the RIP to the printer.
Appreciate the replies.

I believe I covered this in the July or August issue of CorelDRAW Pro
magazine. The article uses green but you can adapt it for any spot color.
If you can't find it let me know, this covers PP X3 but can be used for X4
also.
