one idea is to paint with shadows or blobs in Draw, they are "live"
and
can be adjusted later.

Can you point us to an example of what you are trying to accomplish? It
sounds like you are wanting to feather the edges of the picture object
so that it looks like a cloud above the background.

Apalogies if this mail is send again, I posted it a few days ago, but don't

I've seen some mock up of a "cloud image." It is basically clouds in
the
image of other objects or even people. Take a picture of clouds. Take a
picture of the object, say a boat. Now how will I get the object to appear
as if the clouds formed it? (You know, "Daddy look that cloud looks like a
dinosuar--or boat in this case?) I almost want to "paint" with clouds.
Its
easy enough to fill an outline with clouds, but it is too flat to be of any
use. Any help will be much appreciated

Sounds like a fun thing :-)
My first wife was always seeing things in clouds, by the time I got there,
they were gone. I purchased a sky friendly camera for her, and she did
have a ton of fun. She's passed, but if she were alive today, she would
enjoy the digital format and PHOTO-PAINT :-)
I'll have to play in Corel PHOTO-PAINT to see what I might come up
with. Hmmm-- Objects and clouds in the merge modes!?
