I have PP X3 on WinXP/SP2. It works fine. I bought the Alien Skin Snap
Art plugin. It works in PhotoShop Elements but it freezes the PP
program if I use it in PP.
My friend bought the full AlienSkin Package which included SnapArt and
he has no problem using it in PP. His computer is setup the same as mine.
Has anyone else been able to get the plugin to work? Is there some fix
I need to do the same?

Dan,
It works fine for me, I wish I had some suggestions for you.

Do you have SP2 for Draw X3 Suite or the latest version .739.
That was fixed in SP2.
If you do and are still having problems, try below from Corel's
knowledge Base.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Periodically, it may be necessary to restore the application’s workspace
to the default settings. Corrupt workspaces may lead to problems with
the operability of the application and in some circumstances can prevent
the application from launching. To restore default settings in CorelDRAW
and PHOTO-PAINT, do the following:
Hold down the F8 key on the keyboard.
With the F8 key depressed, launch either CorelDRAW or PHOTO-PAINT.
The following message will appear: "Are you sure you want to overwrite
the workspace with the factory defaults? "
Click Yes and release the F8 key.
The application will start using the default settings for the currently
selected workspace.
Note that you will lose any workspace customization that you have done.
See the Help for information about creating, using, and customizing
multiple workspaces.
Note - Some newer keyboards have an "F Lock" key that must be pressed
first to activate the Function keys on the keyboard.
**Want some snow? <grin>**
No thanks. 80 here today and I'm headed out to wander around an outdoor art
show. Couldn't be a nicer day!
They work for me too, Foster,
"This was addressed (fixed) in SP2 for the Draw X3 Suite."
Perhaps he ran the repair without reapplying the SPs.
If an SP file was missing after the repair option, the
file is automatically replaced with the one on the
original installation disk.
Perhaps if SPs were used, they could be run once again.
Been there and done that :-)
If you purposefully delete an SP file (send it to the recycle bin),
run the repair, you will see it restored the file from the original
installation disk.
Just a thought, as I had not mentioned in my earlier reply.
