you might try the mesh warp tool... there's also the Squizz plugin or KPT 
Gel (or is it Goo?)

I'd like to play around with some jpgs of myself.

My friends have commented on my ever expanding waist line.

Just for fun I'd like to make my belly bulge even more than it does already.

I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction of which tools 
I can use to do that.

And don't forget the belly button - it might look odd if you left it at the same
size. There may be some clip art belly buttons around if you do a google search
- there's about 3,000 I think, and one is bound to fit.
