Fill as new object

When I use the fill tool, it fills the existing object with the fill.

Is there a way to make the fill in to a new object?  Like that I can select 
all those fill objects in the future and change their colors.

Open Object Docker.

There you will find a button to create new object/layer.

You can create a mask from previous object, if it has transparent 
background. Right click en the object docker and select create mask from 
object.
