How does one open an "adjustment layer"/object in PP11?
I apologize for all these somewhat OT questions but there are a lot of
tutorials for PS on the web. I invested in CorelDraw back when it was
version 4 I think and have kept it pretty much on my desktop ever since.
I'd prefer to use PP but like I say I'm working through tutorials as I
can (just getting somewhat serious about photo retouching) and can use
all the guidance I can get.

This free tutorial will explain the differences in terminology.

If you are opening a PSD file, the Adjustment Layers will be lost. They are
not supported by the import filter.

[sigh] I had forgotten about that. I DL'd it some time ago and read
through it but at the time adjustment layers were not on my brain. I am
tickled to know that PP11 has lenses (adjustment layers).
And thank you kindly for your patience in posting that link again.
I have so many questions...
Is there a source for free scripts (like actions)? Is there a script or
a tutorial or a plug in that will handle chromatic aberrations--purple
fringing?
I wish there were tutorials on the web for PP like there is for PS. I
know there are some but for PS they are nearly everywhere or in links
from every camera related site.[heavy sigh]

This page has links to a number of scripts for PHOTO-PAINT.

We also have a variety of tutorials covering PHOTO-PAINT on the site. You
just need to look at what is available.

You know I am not trying to diss PhotoPaint, and goodness knows you and
your contributers provide a generous and unselfish service to the
community with what you do. But how useful is a script to change the
dpi? Or resample? Or close all documents? When I look at the actionbs
that one can find on the net (for free) I am almost overwhelmed by the
sophistication and techno;ogy behind them--action like getting rid of
purple fringing and so many more.
I've been a PhotoPaint user since version 4, I think. I'm not looking to
move to PS, but maybe if the PP community were a little more
forthcoming, someone like myself might have gotten a clue as to how to
use levels or curves a lot sooner than age 61.
Sorry for the mini-rant...sincerely thank you for your website and your
inpu. I know that this kind of thing takes time and energy--you
literally have to "open a vein." We are all indebted...
