brush shape

Hi folks , When I select a brush in pp12, it is shaped like a tiny little
sable brush. I can't tell where I'm painting with this tool. All the
earlier versions of photo-paint took on the shape of the actual dab being
applied, round , square, and so on. Is there a way to recover this feature?
Also the older photopaints had a sliding nib sizer. I suppose that tool is
gone also? Huh? thanks

Go to Tools, Options, General and play around with the Cursor Type and
the "Shape cursor for brush tools" checkbox to get what you want.

for quick resizing of the nib, or any brush, hold down the shift button and
move your mouse up or down.

As for the brush shape, for me, when I change to a particular shape, it show
it

Drag the mouse would be more appropriate, like in, hold shift key while
holding the left mouse button and move the mouse.
