The best suggestion I have is to return the tablet and get a Wacom.
I know there are other less expensive brands out there, I just always hear
of problems with them. This isn't to say that Wacom's never have problems.
Those problems just get solved either through a new driver from Wacom or a
patch from Corel.

Hi. I just purchased a Genius tablet and it works in PP12 except for
the pressure sensitive feature; in other words, more pressure on the
pen-stylus does not produce a fatter line when using a brush. I have
gone to tools>options>workspace>general and gone through the
configuration steps of drawing 5 lines while varying the pressure on
the stylus. In the configuration box the pressure sensitivity feature
works, but it does not work when used in the application itself.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response. At $40 I think I'll keep it. I've
done without a tablet for years. Not being a graphics professional, I
just couldn't justify the price of a Wacom tablet when I looked
several years ago. And aside from the pressure issue, the Genius
tablet seems OK. It certainly is easier to draw freehand with the
stylus than with a mouse.

Your mouse might not have a problem at all, open the brush properties dialog
and play with the pen settings. I don't recall for sure now, but as I
remember there are very few brushes which respond to the width property by
default, you have to change the settings to do so.

Sorry I meant to say, your pen might not have a problem.
