Corel Photo Paint and Open Dialog boxes

Corel Photo Paint and Open Dialog boxes

Interesting problem.

After using the program for a while (read maybe hours, not days), the
Open dialog box fails and hangs the application.

This can be made to work again by renaming the Application Data/
settings folder and letting Corel re-build it.

Then it happens again.

This is happening on multiple workstations. I am thinking that it's
possible there is a recetly used file or directory that it is barfing
on, but I don't have enough information from the client to conclude that
for sure.

I have read through the knowledge base and my next plan of action was to
repeat my last success (removing the config directory & let it rebuild)
and then make the FiltMan.ini (hoping this is in these directories
somewhere) read only.

I am looking for other suggestions as I really am taking a stab in the
dark here.

Thanks,
Michael Mills

Are you using the application on a server by any chance? If so, make sure
that the server is not protecting or locking access to the directory.
