| Genius G-pen f610 tablet |

For Christmas I got Genius G-pen f610 tablet and while it works great, I
have issues with it in Corel Photo Paint 12. I can load up the program
normally, but when I try to draw something, it tells me unexpected problem
occured. I can calibrate the pen in the settings but as soon as the pen
touches the workspace, CPP shuts down with an error. Tried downloading new
drivers for the tablet. I also wanted to download some Corel 12 patches but
couldn't find any.
Any help is appreciated (but please don't tell me to ditch Genius tablet and
buy Wacom).
Thanks!

Please ditch Genius tablet and buy Wacom :)) Otherwise, I have no idea what
causes your problem, I'm using Wacom.

Hey, that's not funny. :D
Anyway, I have found out that it only crashes when I select the brush tool
and move the cursor with the pen on the workspace....

I would get hold of the guys that built your tablet .. Tell them that
you just got it as a gift . Explain that it won't work with the
program you need to use it the most with. See what they say . If it
isn't a real answer tell them your going to ship their product back to
them and they should contact Wacom to have THEM send you a new one
that will work as you need.
Sounds like a software prob. I've got two Wacom on two very different
machines , but both running all of Corel and Adobe programs even
Micrografx and it works just great. Please feel free to include any of
this in your dealings with Genius. I now will have to look them up.

I can't recall the last time I had a Wacom related crash, and am on my
third generation Wacom and been using them since Draw/4
You might try changing the cursor shape from tool to something else and
see if that helps.
You might also want to try updating your regular mouse driver in case it
is helping annoy Corel.
